Ella Johnson - Owner

I'm Ella, Salon Owner and Hairdresser. I have been hairdressing for 10 years, starting my career at the age of 16. My training began through an apprenticeship at KH Hair (formerly known as Keith Halls). I trained to the highest standards, at KH Hair's own hair academy and also attended the Wella academy in Manchester. I then continued my career at KH Hair for 3 years before moving salons to gain further experience. Advanced training continued, attending courses at the Goldwell Academy in London, Redken, Sid Sottung and online training with Not Another Academy, Human Kind Hair and also The Blonding Bible.

I have taken on a lot of training which contributes to my knowledge in all things hair, I will continue to extend my knowledge, attending courses and training sessions, as I love to stay up to date with current techniques and styles. I am dedicated to creating beautiful hair, and my belief is 'there is no better feeling than making people feel brand new with amazing hair'.

I work full time Tuesday - Saturday, with 2 late nights a week (Wednesday and Thursday). My favourite hair service is foiling but I also have a wide variety of clients from cut and blowdries, to creating bespoke colours, hair extensions and more.

Danielle Briers - Advanced Stylist

Hi, I am Danielle a stylist here at Ella J Hair. I joined in January 2024 and I am loving being part of the team with Ella!

I love every aspect of hairdressing and making my clients feel confident and good about themselves. I especially enjoy balayages, lived in blondes and beachy waves!

I have been lucky enough to take part in many training courses such as ladies cutting with Sid Suttong and also freehand balayage courses at the passion4hair academy. I like to stay up to date with current trends and I will continue to go on future training courses.

You will find me in the salon Tuesday - Saturday.

Megan Parker - Senior Stylist

Hello, I'm Megan, a Senior Stylist here at Ella J Hair. I have been in the hair industry for 9 years, in a high quality salon in Leicestershire from a Saturday girl and completing my training to become a manager.

I have been lucky enough to attend many courses over the years and still keep myself up to date with the latest looks and trends, so that I can keep my clients looking and feeling their best.

I love everything about my job, my favourite being balayage, plaits and short hair.

You will find me in the salon full time from Tuesday - Saturday, offering 2 late nights a week.

Madie McKenzie - Senior Stylist

Hello, I’m Maddie – a Senior Stylist at Ella J Hair. With over six years of experience in the hair industry, I’ve developed a deep passion for creating beautiful, confidence-boosting styles that reflect each client’s unique personality.

From a young age, I was captivated by the world of hair. I still remember pretending to be a stylist on the playground, dreaming of the day I’d work in a real salon. Fast forward to today, and I’m proud to be running fully booked columns and helping clients feel their absolute best every single day.

My journey has been filled with continued learning, creativity, and a genuine love for the craft. Whether it's a bold colour transformation, precision cutting, or enhancing natural textures, I strive to provide every client with a personalised and professional experience.

At Ella J Hair, I’ve found a space where passion meets expertise, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a talented team. I’m always excited to welcome new and returning clients into my chair – because for me, this is more than just a job; it’s a lifelong love.

Amy Boatman - Stylist

Hi, I’m Amy I’m a stylist at Ella J Hair. I’ve been in the hair industry for 5 years and absolutely love every aspect of hairdressing.

I love keeping up with new trends and styles and keep myself educated on new techniques, I especially love doing lived in colours giving that low maintenance natural blend.

I love working with the girls at Ella J Hair. You will find me in the salon Tuesday - Saturday offering two late nights a week.

Lola Ward- Apprentice Stylist

Hi, I'm Lola and I am the Apprentice Stylist here at Ella J Hair.

I joined the team in July 2024 and I am loving my journey so far. I'm looking forward to learning everything to do with hair along the with helping the team to ensure all our clients leave feeling amazing.

I attend college on a Tuesday and you will catch me in the salon Wednesday - Saturday.
